Lovochemie has long offered specialist site visits for schools and companies. In addition to secondary-school and university students from the Czech Republic, it regularly welcomes visitors from abroad. This year, two groups of students from US universities visited Lovochemie: MBA students from the University of Missouri and students from Utah Valley University.
The students visited the nitric acid production unit and the granulated fertiliser production unit, where they had the opportunity to learn about technological processes and see how production works in practice.
The programme also included a discussion on fertiliser production, the integration of the entire value chain from fertilisers and agricultural commodities through to food production, as well as the current situation in energy and raw-material markets.
The visits gave the students an insight into how the Czech chemical industry operates and offered an opportunity to connect theoretical knowledge with experience from real industrial operations.
